Top 10 Criminals on the FBI’s ‘Most Wanted’ list
We have seen a lot of movie FBIs running after the most wanted criminal who is never caught till the end. This story is definitely not limited to the movies, we have some real life dangerous criminals around the world that the FBI is still finding and could not catch them. We have the list of ten most wanted criminals which goes something like this:
10. David Daniel Keegan Criminal #78
Daniel has been on the FBI list for nine years, from 1954 to 1963. He was accused for drug trafficking and a murder. Daniel stands as the top tenth person being on the FBI most wanted list. The process was later dismissed as it was reported that he died.
9. Robert William Fisher Criminal #475
Robert’s name was added to the list of FBI on the 29th of June 2002 for murdering his wife and their two young children. Later the house was also blown up by the criminal, in which they lived, in Scottsdale, Arizona. The murder and the blowing off the house was done a year before his name was added to the list. Robert was born in New York in the year 1961, whereas FBI is offering an amount of $100,000 of price for the one who informs about him.
8. Arthur Lee Washington Criminal #427
Arthur Lee Washington was accused for murdering a, New Jersey state trooper. Born in the year 1949, New Jersey, Arthur was also known to have killed the trooper with the handgun and may have more weapons. He was removed from the list in the year 2000.
7. James Joseph Bulger Criminal #458
James was added to the list in 1999 as he was involved in being a part of some corrupt organizations, Murder of 19 people, conspiracy in extortion and conspiracy of money laundering. A reward for the information related to James Joseph Bulger was a total of $2, 000,000. James got arrested in the year 2011 when he was 81 years old along with his longtime girl friend Catherine Greig.
6. Katherine Ann Power Criminal #315
Born in 1949, Katherine is the only female criminal in the Top ten FBI list. She was an ex-convict of America who later turned into a criminal by doing a robbery in a bank during which they killed a police officer too. Her name was placed in the list of the FBI in the year 1970. Katherine surrendered to the police in the year 1993 after which she started a new life. She completed her bachelor’s degree during her years of prison and when she came out after her punishment, did her Masters. While arrested in 1993 Katherine made a statement to the public and said “The illegal acts I committed arose not from any desire for personal gain but from a deep philosophical and spiritual commitment that if a wrong exists, one must take active steps to stop it, regardless of the consequences to oneself in comfort or security”.
5. Fredrick J. Tenuto Criminal #14
Fredrick was a known gangster and criminal of America. He was put on the list of FBI most wanted in 1950. Having caught once, Fredrick ran away from the prison in a jailbreak, along with four other criminals. Since then he was not caught and later was dismissed from the list of the FBI after 14 years in 1964. The news was that the criminal was killed and clandestinely obscured.
4. Glen Stewart Godwin, Criminal #447
Glen was added to the FBI list in 1996. He was accused for a murder and was serving a sentence in jail in California. Afterwards he was again caught for the crime of drug trafficking from where he escaped after killing his inmate in 1991. Born in Miami, Florida Glen might be involved in the distribution of narcotics, he knows Spanish, and must be travelling along South America and Mexico. FBI fixed the price of $100, 000 for the one who informs about the criminal.
3. Charles Lee Heron, Criminal #265
Although FBI always needs a previous criminal record before putting up a name on the FBI most wanted list, but it was different in this case. Charles had murdered Nashville policeman and nothing else, as for the fact that he had racial literature in his car; the FBI put his name on the record in the year 1968 and later he was arrested in the year 1986.
2. Donald Eugene Webb, Criminal #375
Donald is the second longest on the FBI list; his name was entered in the list in 1981. Remaining on the list for almost 25 long years until 2007, when the FBI assumed his death and removed his name from the FBI list. He was accused for burglary, bank robbery, having dangerous, illegal weapons, murder of a police officer and a car theft. Born in 1931 Eugene was an American career criminal who murdered a police officer for the first time in his town.
1. Victor Manuel Gerena Criminal #386
Standing as the longest on the FBI list is Victor Manuel Gerena, who was born in New York in the year 1958. Victor is accused for a bank robbery, theft of an interstate shipment, unlawfully running away from the country and for taking hostage of two guards and injecting them a material which later disabled them. Victor has been on the list since 1983 and is still on the list. FBI has offered a price of $1000, 000 for giving information about him which can help them arrest the criminal.
Top 10 Executioner Countries of 2013
All the countries worldwide have punishments, rules and death penalties for the criminals against the crimes accordingly but not all of them actually execute them. On the other hand where European Union thinks it’s an insult to the right of life, countries like China, Bangladesh and North Korea execute the justice strongly. Sometimes these executions take place secretly whereas in other cases it is public to show the people that the punishment to the certain crime is suppose to be this.
10. Somalia
Somalis voted in favor of the execution resolution in the year 2008 and since then the people, who are related to crimes that give death penalties as the punishments, are being punished. In 2010 the number of people who were executed is 8. And more would have been executed secretly.
9. Bangladesh
Obligatory death penalty was removed by the High Court Division of the Supreme Court but afterwards legislation was passed for the death punishment to be made legal. In the year of 2010 more than 9 people were executed in the country which still does not include the ones who are killed secretly.
8. Syria
The criminals who are given the punishment of death are normally hanged in front of people wrapped in scaffold which have the details of all the crimes they have done due to which they are executed. More than 17 people are executed in Syria in the year of 2010.
7. Libya
More than 18 people have been given death penalty in Libya in 2010. Most of the crimes due to which the guilty is killed are Murder and drug offenses. In Libya the punishment does not go with the hanging thing but the firing crew is maintained to fire the guilty and kill him.
6. Saudi Arabia
Country like Saudi Arabia has its criminal justice in a public way. More than 27 have been executed in the year 2011 where the foreigners are not excluded. Saudi Arabia is one of the last five countries who still take out the death penalty in front of public, in places like Riyadh. Islam being the main religion of the country, it follows the Shariah. Crimes like Rape, murder, false prophecy, robbery; drug offense and adultery result in death penalty in the country. The way it is taken out are different, it can be done by the firing squad, by stoning or by the cutting the head with a sword.
5. USA
Death penalty is a legal punishment in almost 32 states of America, whereas Texas has executed most of the people. Over the period of time the procedure of the penalty has been changed according to the crime and the place where it has been taken place. But the most common of all is still the lethal injection which is given to the guilty and he dies. States like Hawaii, Alaska and Michigan eliminated the death penalty. In the year 2010-2011 more than almost 46 people were executed in the USA.
4. Yemen
Crimes like Murder, Rape, terrorism and (according to Islamic law) Sexual misconduct, drug trafficking and homosexuality result in a death penalty in Yemen. Shooting is the main procedure of how the penalty is carried out but according to the Islamic law stoning is also an option viable for adultery. Almost 53+ people have been executed in the country and some still might be secretly given the punishment.
3. North Korea
North Korea is also one of those last five countries who perform the death penalty in front of the public. Crimes that result in execution are drug smuggling, disloyalty, piracy, murder, rape and grand theft. A firing squad is appointed for the death penalty which takes place in front of the public. In the year of 2010 total numbers of people executed in the country are more than 60.
2. Iran
A huge number of 252+ people were executed in Iran in the year 2011, in which most of the people were involved in drug trafficking, murder, deadly kidnapping and rape. These executions involved 5 women and 1 young person. Iran has been criticized for punishing children under the age of 18 which is illegal but the state claimed that the religion of the state which is Islam does not have that point. The second point that was raised against the state was that the procedure that they carry out the penalty with stoning is also painful and critical in which the state person of Iran claimed that it was propaganda against Iran. Iran stands second in the list of executioner countries.
1. China
China with the most population in the World has the highest executions too. It gives the punishment for the most violent crimes like, murder, drug trafficking and such. Having a number of 5000 people executed in 2009 it reduced to 1000 in 2011 because the Supreme People’s court ordered strictly to keep the Capital punishment to serious and extremely violent crimes. The actual number of people who are executed is always kept a secret and is not allowed to be public. The procedures of the death penalty are by shooting or injecting the guilty.
